Our History:
Fundamentals, Processes & Profits

In business management, there are no silver bullets, no quick fixes, no miracle cures. This is why Spader's entire catalogue of workshops and services is based on time-tested principles, processes and techniques for planning, measuring and simplifying the way you perceive, approach and manage your business.

The secret to controlling your business and unlocking success come from our own real-world experience. Because we've been in your shoes.

The principles, processes, and tools on which Spader was founded more than 30 years ago have withstood the test of time. Of course, our models for understanding and managing the components of business have evolved to meet the needs of a changing marketplace. But our concrete practices for improving people and profitability apply to every kind of business in every industry and are just as effective now as they were in the beginning.

Spader Business Management had its start in the 1970s. Those days, times were tough for the RV industry. Rising fuel prices and high interest rates were forcing even the best dealers to close their doors. Duane Spader was one of those RV dealers hard-pressed by the times.

Instead of giving up, Spader took the opportunity to examine his own management practices with a critical eye, and he identified key principles he could use to gain success through those trying times.

His experience became the foundation of a company that is in business to help businesses. And for more than three decades, Spader Business Management has expanded on the knowledge and experience that came from improving Duane's own dealership and applied these principles to businesses worldwide.

Spader Business Management soon recognized our business principles could help any industry or small business. We now work with many industries, including farm equipment, lighting showroom, marine, motorcoach, office furniture, powersports, RV, and trailers.

With hard work, a natural knack for problem solving, and the help of a network of mentors, Spader identified key principles that ultimately helped pull his own dealership back into profitability and growth. The experience was the beginning of the Spader Total Business Success™ Model.
